This £25m DFID financed governance programme worked closely with a number of State and Local Governments in Nigeria to provide the technical resources required to strengthen the Public Financial Management of state governments as well as their related local governments. This programme provided substantial long and short term technical inputs, using national as well as international experts over the seven year period (2001-2008). GRID Consulting worked with our partners HTSPE (UK) to hire and manage consultants in a large spread of technical disciplines for the programme offices nationwide as well as to meet the specific technical needs of the programme in government.

After seven years, this governance programme is now being replaced by the new DFID- funded programme: State Partnerships for Accountability, Capacity and Responsiveness (SPARC).
