SuNMaP is a £50 million five year (2008-2013) project funded by DFID. It operates through a comprehensive malaria control approach by providing technical support to the National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP) in strengthening the delivery of the existing malaria control mechanism through engagements  with the commercial sector. This approach is aimed at providing a long lasting solution to the problem of malaria in Nigeria.

The programme is jointly managed by a consortium of three core partners and other implementing partners. The core Partners include Malaria Consortium - UK, Health Partners International (HPI) UK and GRID.

GRID playing the major role in establishing the Nigerian offices, sourcing and employing the Nigerian staff on behalf of the programme, and providing financial management backstopping across all the technical outputs of the programme.  In particular GRID is managing the design and operation of a system for disbursing approximately £10m of Performance Based Financing within the programme.
